Frequency Guitar Quartet

Frequency Guitar Quartet brings together Filippos Manoloudis, Pogeun Kang, Valentin Novak, and Lorik Pylla – four guitarists of a new generation, combining virtuosic playing with a strong sense of musical individuality.

The ensemble was formed in 2020 in Darmstadt, where the members met during their studies. What began as a collaboration between close friends quickly developed into an ambitious chamber music project, with a repertoire spanning from original works to arrangements across different styles and periods. Since then, the quartet has performed in several European countries, captivating audiences with its energy and precision.

At the core of the quartet lies the balance between four distinct artistic voices and a shared musical vision. Each member contributes their own ideas and interpretative
approach, shaping a collective sound that draws inspiration from the tradition of the great string quartets while exploring the unique possibilities of the guitar.

Their programs move fluidly between styles, creating a rich and cohesive sound world that highlights the expressive range of the instrument. Through this approach, the Frequency Guitar Quartet offers fresh perspectives on the guitar ensemble and expands its place within the chamber music landscape.
