Lorik Pylla (b. 1998, Gjakova, Kosovo) began his musical training at the age of nine, studying guitar and flute at his local music school. He continued his studies at the
music high school “Prenk Jakova” in Gjakova before moving to Germany, where he studied with Tilman Hoppstock at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstadt (Bachelor and Master).

He has received prizes at several international competitions, including the Alirio Díaz Competition (Rust), Naissus Guitar Festival, Tremolo Guitar Festival (Skopje), and Ars Kosova Competition. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in over 15 countries. During his studies, he was also involved in contemporary music projects and took part in premieres through collaborations with composers, notably
at the Remusica Festival in Kosovo.

Alongside his performing career, Lorik is actively engaged in teaching. He has worked at music schools in Langen and Lorsch and, since 2024, has been a guitar lecturer at Dr. Hoch’s Konservatorium in Frankfurt. He is also part of the organization team of the Darmstädter Gitarrentage.

Outside of music, he is passionate about sports – especially basketball and football – and has a strong interest in philosophy, history, and political literature.
